A personal look at me
I will always be found quoting Sex and the City; I love gardening; hiking; yoga; adventures; I will always be travelling this gorgeous earth (well, when I can 😜). I am a mental health warrior who has had a life of chronic anxiety, so I have spent thousands of hours learning meditation and relaxation techniques, of which can assist with birth anxiety and encouragement.

A professional look at me
After studying psychology, I started to lean toward nursing and training to be a doula, which then led to hopping over to be a dual registered Registered Nurse/Midwife. I was fascinated with the miraculous way the body works. This quickly led to disillusionment after learning about birth trauma and the horror stories many women held privately about their birth journeys. I decided I wanted to make a difference in women’s lives and promote education, autonomy and let women know they not only have rights, are entitled to say no, and receive evidence-based advice for them to make fully informed decisions. It is the woman’s right to her body, her baby, and not being pushed or coerced into interventions, but being educated where and when they may be needed. I have supported complex and high-risk pregnancies, completed countless courses and thousands of hours reading to make sure I am up to date with best practice for medical interventions and alternative options where possible, so I can educate the women I support so they feel confident in making autonomous decisions for themselves. That is my overarching take-home goal: I want YOU to feel confident in yourself and your decisions. This is not about my opinion or thoughts, it is about your needs.
So, whether you’re a “trying” Mumma, expectant Mumma, first-time Mumma, a fifth-time Mumma, step-Mumma, surrogate Mumma, a rainbow Mumma, a transgender Mumma or Papa… Lil Mumma is here for you.
